I fell in love with these peppers at one of my favorite sushi joints in manhattan and was so excited when my local farmers market was carrying them!
They are mild and almost sweet once you caramelize them for a few hot seconds in the broiler. Â This is such a healthy and quick snack. Â It is perfect for those last minute visitors. Â In mere moments they are done and ready for a sprinkle of salt, citrusy shower of fresh lemon and VOILA done and ready to be served!
IngredientsÂ
1 pound of Shoshito peppers, washed
The juice of 1 lemon
Salt to taste
Directions
Broil the pepper for 3-6 minutes, turning once and checking frequently.
Toss peppers in lemon juice and sprinkle with salt, serve
